    • This course covers the fundamentals of computer systems, their architecture, their use and their programming. The topic includes representation of data, Integers, Boolean Algebra, Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU), Computer Architecture, Instruction, Computer System Structure, Operating System (OS) and Assembler programming.

  • Course Learning Outcomes

    At the end of the course, student will be able to:

    • describe boolean algebra, computer arithmetic, manipulation of numbers in alternative bases, basic ideas, principles, memory, data and program used in all digital system; (C2, PLO1)

    • classify the operations performed by major hardware components based on the logical structure of typical system hardware and software; and (P2,PLO2)

    • outline simple logic circuits . (C4,PLO3)
